Latisha Schmitt, IT Inclusion and Diversity Leader, Humana, Inc.
Latisha Schmitt is a collaborator and connector of people, resources, and opportunities. She is a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) and currently leads Inclusion and Diversity for the IT organization at Humana, Inc. in Louisville, KY. In her current role, she champions change, challenges the status quo, and creates opportunities to leverage the unique characteristics, talents, and backgrounds of Humana’s IT associates. Her tech career started over 20 years ago as a certified software trainer, which included teaching coding classes and becoming a software developer. In her 15 years at Human where she started as a software engineer, she has experience leading teams of developers, process consultants, and IT audit functions. She has a passion for leadership development and mentoring, and enjoys facilitating sessions about personal and professional development to help others connect to their passion and purpose at work. Latisha is engaged in leading initiatives inside and outside the organization; including the Women in Technology Chapter and serving as a mentor for Mentoring Circles in the Women’s Network Resource Group, is on the Women Influencing Louisville Board, and is co-chair of the JCPS Business IT Partnership Council. During the winter months, she spends her weekends cheering on her 6 and 11-year-old boys at their basketball games and in summer they enjoy family bike rides around the Louisville parks.
Julie Kratz, Speaker, Coach, and Author, Pivot Point
Julie Kratz is a highly acclaimed leadership trainer who led teams and produced results in corporate America for nearly two decades. After experiencing her own career “pivot point,” Julie developed a process to help women leaders create their winning career game plan. Kristen Cooper, CEO & Founder, Startup Ladies
Kristen Cooper is the CEO and Founder of the Startup Ladies and has a background in building technology and raising money. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Operations and Corporate Development at Sticksnleaves, a software development firm. She helped the company scale by developing new collaborations with growth-stage and mature businesses, and expanded collaborations with women and minority entrepreneurs who wanted to build new technology products. Throughout her career, Cooper has been instrumental in raising millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations and developing sales and marketing strategies to creatively engage donors and clients in growing revenue.
Cooper resides in Westfield, Indiana with her husband, Jason Kelly, Ph. D., and their two pet Betas, Mr. Chompers, and Fanny Wright. Together, they enjoy gardening, cheese, vodka drinks (at least Kristen does) and fighting for equality for everyone, everywhere.
Amy Barg, Growth Environmental Specialist, John Maxwell Company
Amy Describes herself as a “growth environment specialist” and she believes everyone is either stepping forward into growth or… backward into safety. For more than 25 years, Amy served in the fields of education, communication and marketing, leadership and the not-for-profit sector. Now an executive director and certified speaker, trainer and coach with the John Maxwell Team, she also serves the team as a member of the President’s Advisory Council. Her Passion is helping people raise their awareness about their own personal growth and leadership journeys so that they can take action to improve their lives.
The author of, Seeing Blind Spots: Leadership Lessons from Real Life, Amy writes a weekly blog, has a YouTube Channel for her Friday’s Perspective, facilitates mastermind groups, and is a DISC Certified Human Behavior Consultant.
Diana Williams, Agile Coach and Trainer, AgileIndy
Diana Williams is an experienced Agile Coach and Trainer. She has worked in both the public and private sectors, providing enterprise level Agile coaching. She is a passionate learner and teacher. Diana oversaw systems that had several billions of dollars’ flow through them. Her teams have recognized significant productivity gains, improved quality, and better predictability. Diana is a rising star in the Agile space. She is empathic with her teams and stakeholders, helping them achieve things they did not realize were possible. She has received numerous praise from her clients and teams.
When Diana is not coaching teams or leading projects, she is very family focused. She especially loves spending time with her grandchildren. As a mother and grandmother, she is an advocate for women working in technology.
Nicole Hawkins, Ph. D., Professor & Consultant, Saint Leo University
Dr. Nicole D. Hawkins, an Indiana native who currently resides in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area, is a multi-passionate woman with over 20 years of professional experience building community by developing people and organizations. Currently, Dr. Hawkins is a business school professor, an international speaker and consultant with proven expertise in the public and private sectors, as well as the education and faith communities. A strong believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Hawkins is a 2017 Alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School where she completed the Executive Education Program in Adaptive Leadership Development. She is a two-time graduate of Ball State University, having completed Bachelor and dual Masters degrees in Communications and Organizational Development in the School of Communication, Information and Media (B.A. 1995, M.S. 1998). With a concentration in Human Resource Development and dissertation work in Leader Development, Dr. Hawkins completed a Doctorate of Philosophy degree at the School of Business and Leadership of Regent University in 2015. Dr. Hawkins’ research interests include leader development, organizational behavior and change, and workplace human resource practices. Dr. Hawkins is also a licensed minister and certified life and career coach.
Dr. Hawkins serves as a full-time faculty member for Saint Leo University as an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management in the Donald R. Tapia School of Business. In addition to service to the University, Dr. Hawkins’ philanthropic and volunteer efforts include working with the United Way of Greater Atlanta as the Volunteer Services Committee Chairperson for the Women of Cole Society and as an active member of the Junior League of Atlanta, Program Chairperson for the Leadership Development Institute. Dr. Hawkins is committed to the personal, professional and spiritual development of people so that they can fulfill their highest calling and purpose. Most importantly, she makes time to have fun with her family and friends, indulge in fashion and just breathe.
Michael Wolfe, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Ontario Systems
